The reason for Christians participation in politics are: * First is the Stewardship of Power. All power in heaven and earth, belongs to Jesus and he has given it to his church before ascending to heaven as Steward to administer as lights and salt in every areas of our influence, including politics and governance: that is why the Scripture says, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan."
